Module #1: Marketing Program

Marketing seminar moduleFrom specifier training to our referral program, Steel Stitch has many of the benefits of a franchise operation without the cost. Owners and Sales Managers will want to learn how to plug into the most unique marketing program in this industry and take advantage of many free services that help build long-term relationships with specifiers.

Instructors: Mack Fisher (Steel Stitch Founder and CEO) and Larry Fisher (VP - Sales and Marketing) Mack is an innovative business leader and entrepreneur. His 39+ year record of success includes several years as Vice President of Marketing for a national chain of building material stores, followed by several years of specialized consultancy in the areas of business efficiency and profitability. Larry's 19+ years with Steel Stitch have included extensive experience in awning sales, as well as general management of Steel Stitch's awning manufacturing division. He holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Business Administration, with a focus in Marketing.

 
Module #2: Awning &Canopy Design

Design seminar moduleAwnings and canopies are functional structures, which require extensive planning prior to fabrication. This workshop is designed to provide a step-by-step design approach to all types of awnings and canopies. It will change the way you look at fabric structures.

Instructor: Larry Fisher (VP - Sales and Marketing) Larry's 19+ years with Steel Stitch have included extensive experience in awning sales, as well as general management of Steel Stitch's awning manufacturing division. He holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Business Administration, with a focus in Marketing.

 
Module #3: Frame Fabrication

Frame Shop seminar moduleThere's something for even the most experienced aluminum welder in this hands-on frame building course. From the basics of cutting and welding aluminum profiles to how to find the right equipment, this class demonstrates time-and material-saving techniques as well as pointers for improved frame quality. You will also learn the value of electronic CAD programs, such as AutoCAD™ or TurboCAD™, in the prepartion of Shop Drawings and cut-lists that add accuracy and consistency to your projects. A "must" for anyone who works in the frame shop.

Instructor: Tom Atkins (Director of Steel Stitch Referrals) With Steel Stitch for 15 years, Tom has served as Frame Shop Foreman, AutoCAD Detailer, Production Manager and Technical Support Contact. He has conducted over 35 productive Frame Shop seminars for Steel Stitch.

 
Module #4: Fabric Attachment

Fabric Shop seminar moduleThe Steel Stitch System is famous for its "drum-tight" fabric attachment. Stapling fabric panels to a Steel Stitch frame isn't brain surgery, but there are some techniques and principles to know about. In this hands-on class you will learn the latest techniques for covering virtually any shape staple-in fabric structure. Learn to teach these methods yourself. For beginners and experts alike.

Instructor: West Fisher (Steel Stitch C.O.O.) A 20-year veteran of Steel Stitch, West has developed many innovative methods for covering Steel Stitch awnings that will enable better and faster results for you. He has extensive operations experience in all phases of the staple-in process and is the General Manager of Steel Stitch's awning manufacturing division.
